Affordable Henckels Chef Knives

If you like Henckels and are looking toward their budget knife line, look no further than: Eversharp and Henckels International.

With these two lines, German Knife maker Henckels cuts costs in the manufacturing process and passes that along to the buyer. These blades are stamped, not forged, and manufacturing takes place outside Germany. If you are looking for an overall good value chef's knife, Henckels International 8" chef's knife is a very good choice.

Amazingly, years later, these great knives have maintained their price while other knives have become much more expensive!

Review:

This lower-priced Henckels chef knife offers great value and includes Henckels standard lifetime warranty. Also, the knife is pretty well balanced, (you may find that the handle is slightly heavier than other lines, however, some cooks prefer this). The 8-inch blade length is the most practical for multipurpose use, and regular sharpening will keep the blade razor-sharp. It's only minimally flexible, which makes it a great choice for vegetables such as potatoes and turnips. While it's dishwasher-safe, unless it needs sanitizing after use with raw meat, it's often easier to hand wash.
